A great new webapp called Mapnificent is a nifty tool for determining where you can go in the city within a certain time frame. For example, if I wanted to know where I could get via walking/public transit within 20 minutes from my apartment in Brooklyn, I just drop my address into Mapificent and it creates a little radar-bubble style map showing me the parts of town I can get to in that time. Something you probably won’t use on a daily basis, but might be handy for making sure you can meet your friends downtown on time.
Check it out from your place and play around with the time slider… is it accurate for your part of town?
